OCCUPATION

WHEN/HOW YOU STARTED SKATING
About 15 years ago when I was in 4th grade. I saw a flyer for the local skating club’s Learn to Skate program and knew I had to be a part of it. My mom refused to buy me skates, she figured rentals would be sufficient for my likely short term skating interest. Little did either of us know that skating would become a life long passion.
WHEN/HOW YOU STARTED SKATING SYNCHRO
I started skating synchro about 8 years ago. I credit it with keeping my interest in skating. I had gotten bored of skating by myself all of the time and tired of falling on jumps I probably would never land. A group of about 8 other girls and one coach at my rink started the club’s first synchro team-and its still going strong today!
FAVORITE SKATERS
I don’t have a favorite-no time to watch them on tv!
FAVORITE SKATING MEMORY
There are too many amazing memories to pick just one. I would have to say though, that the time I have spent with so many wonderful teammates over the years, whether it is 5am at practice, waiting to get on the ice for a big skate, or simply hanging out in the locker room or at other team events, has enriched my life more than I even know.
CURRENT SKATING GOALS
To continue to improve my skating while helping my teammates be the best that they can be. Oh yeah, and becoming a skating judge!
Eastern Sectionals

Gotham City Synchro traveled to beautiful Lake Placid to compete at the 2011 Eastern Sectionals February 4th and 5th. Battling almost 16 inches of snow in two days, we put in a great performance in the qualifying rounds that put us through to the Championship Round. Unfortunately, during the Championship Round we had a disappointing fall and finished 7th.
In spite of this, we have had a wonderful season. We had a worked hard, learned new skills, and had so much fun! Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to skating with you all again next year in Hershey, PA!
Central Park Exhibition
Come support Gotham City Synchro at our skating exhibition on Sunday, January 23, performing at 11:45am sharp at Wollman Rink in Central Park. You can watch for free from the overlook.
