GCS Competes at the 2013 Colonial Classic

Gotham City Synchro traveled to Lowell MA to compete in the Colonial Classic Synchro competition.  Unfortunately, we had a fall and placed fourth in a competitive field that included Essex Blades, Allegro!, and last year’s national champions, Esprit de Corps.  We’re heading back to NYC to work on getting our program ready for our next team trip – to Eastern Sectionals in Lake Placid, NY.  GO GOTHAM!

GCS Debuts “Big Spender” Program at Terry Conners

Gotham City Synchro traveled to Stamford CT for the Terry Conners Synchronized Skating Open, our first competition of the year.  While we were the only masters team to compete, we had a great time and a great skate!  We’re heading back to NYC to celebrate the holidays and to get ready for our next competition, the Colonial Classic in Lowell MA.

GCS Spring Practices

After another great competitive season, Gotham City Synchro has returned to the City Ice Pavilion for our Spring practices.  We have shifted our priorities from our “Don’t Stop Believin’” program, to brushing up on old skills, taking on new skills, and having fun at 6 am.  We have to thank Adam David Kissick at adamdavidkissick.com for these amazing photographs of one of our early morning practices.

As spring rolls into summer we are taking a hiatus from our organized practices to get in some vacation time with our friends (skating and otherwise) and families.  The team will lace up our skates again come September to start preparing for yet another synchro competition season.

Until then, GO GOTHAM!

We are now heading back to New York for a little break before we start our spring practices.

Gotham City Synchro Wins Bronze at Colonial Classic

Gotham City Synchro travelled to Lowell MA, this past weekend to compete in the Colonial Classic.   We had a great time, had another great skate of our “Don’t Stop Believin” program, and finished 3rd in a field of 11!

Thanks to the Colonial organization for another well run competition and congratulations to all the teams.  We look forward to seeing all of you in a few weeks for the Eastern Sectionals in Hershey PA.

Hope to see you there!

Gotham City Synchro Doesn’t Stop!

Well, we did stop, but we are back! After a summer hiatus, we are preparing for our first competition of the season at Terry Conners Open in Stanford, CT. Come back soon for more news.

Eastern Sectionals

Gotham City Synchro traveled to beautiful Lake Placid to compete at the 2011 Eastern Sectionals February 4th and 5th. Battling almost 16 inches of snow in two days, we put in a great performance in the qualifying rounds that put us through to the Championship Round. Unfortunately, during the Championship Round we had a disappointing fall and finished 7th.

In spite of this, we have had a wonderful season. We had a worked hard, learned new skills, and had so much fun! Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to skating with you all again next year in Hershey, PA!
