NAME: Nancy
OCCUPATION: Attorney who for many years worked at a major NYC bank, specializing in consumer banking and community development law.
WHEN/HOW YOU STARTED SKATING: I grew up in Detroit, and my dad would make an ice rink in our backyard in winter (before the days of global warming). We lived near the Detroit Skating Club, and my family joined that. About two years later, we moved to the suburbs, and I stopped skating until after college.
WHEN/HOW YOU STARTED SKATING SYNCHRO: I joined Gotham City Synchro in 2008.
FAVORITE SKATING MEMORY: Two favorites: Michelle Kwan’s short program to Rachmaninoff at Nationals in 1998 and Torvill and Dean’s Mack and Mabel free dance at World’s in 1982.
FAVORITE SKATER: Probably Michelle Kwan: she will long be remembered as a role model for figure skating.
CURRENT SKATING GOALS: To pass Adult Gold Moves. Those brackets are a killer!
